Neville Lance

Inducted 2024

Neville Lance has been an integral player in the Australian Speedcar scene since the 1980’s, claiming a staggering 34 feature wins at Claremont Speedway.

After five Australian Speedcar Championship podiums, “Big Rev Nev” finally captured his maiden Australian Title at the Motorplex in 2013, adding to his mind-blowing resume of seven Western Australian Speedcar Championships over four decades, three Wild West championships, five New Years Speedcar Derbies, seven LJM Memorial Speedcar Classic wins, an SA Title, and the Magic Man in 2016 in addition to two Motorplex Track Championships.

And his amazing list of race wins matches his off-track accolades, being awarded the West Australian Speedcar Drivers Association Driver’s Driver in 2013, the Presidents Cup and Best and Fairest awards each twice, the Stan Fox Award three times and was awarded WASDA Life Membership in 2005.

Away from the clay, Neville has also accrued multiple WA Beach Buggy Championships and was an integral part of the NASCAR Calder Thunderdome era which also included runs on the West Coast of the USA.

Anything but a “arrive and drive” racer, Nev built all his own motors, and drove cars built by now fellow Speedway Australia Hall of Famer Geoff Murphy.

This is a well-deserved welcome to Big Rev Neville Lance to the Australian Speedway Hall of Fame.
